Saturday 28 Apr. The day of the Bulgarian 7s and one which we were looking forward to despite the knocks picked up earlier in the week. A list of about 10 teams from around Bulgaria attended the event which was run within the grounds of the NSA.

From the start it was clear Lady Luck was not to look upon us this day. Our first match was drawn against the NSA, current Premiership Champions. After 'a not too' humiliating defeat we had a few games against teams a bit more our level which produced some great rugby inlcuding a never seen before try from Levy involving a knock-on, a triple movement on the deck and a drop ball. To this day Levy is the only one convinced the try was justified. Minutes later he did manage to redeem himself with a completely legit crossing of the line. After a presentation was made to Ben Court and Taff Thomas by the Chief Sports Medical Officer of Bulgaria (I don't know if they were trying to tell us something), we had a quick change at the hotel for our last night out which for a change was at......Flannagans, where better? A fantastic spread was laid on by the owner Ron and manager Seth of an awesome pig roast. So after pictures with our wing-men and a group shot of all the point scorers of the week, (that's the 'big' group of three at the end) we tucked into a cracking meal and a brilliant last night. The perfect way to end a blinding time.
